Juneteenth

Called the "longest-running African-American holiday," Juneteenth celebrates the day in 1865 when enslaved people in Texas were told about the Emancipation Proclamation of 1863. Traditionally it was and is celebrated as a joyful family and community event. Juneteenth was made a federal holiday in 2021.
