In this compassionate and thought-provoking story, Edward is the only survivor of a horrific plane crash that kills his family and 187 other people. The book alternates between chapters about the flight and individual passengers, and chapters focusing on Edward's present struggles with all-consuming grief, loss, and guilt. Napolitano beautifully presents her themes of the importance of human connection and truly seeing every person who touches your life. Highly recommended.
