Molly returns from her self-imposed exile at boarding school to spend 99 days in her hometown before leaving for college. The story revolved around a love triangle between Molly and two brothers. It’s obvious pretty early in the book that most of the characters are selfish, self-destructive people. Molly never really takes responsibility for her own actions, but she does complain throughout the book that people in town no longer like her. The most interesting part of the book is Molly’s relationship with her mother, who she believes is responsible for making her love triangle public. The book would have benefited from more time spent on that relationship.
