DOOM PATROL
Excessively profane, supremely sarcastic, comically inane, poignantly empathetic, and seriously FUN.
Not for the holier than thou, the squeamish, nor the faint of heart. But if you love your fellow man regardless of their differences, and you can take a joke, if you can see the broken child inside the person with problems, and you can laugh at the absurd, you'll have a great good time.
Season 1 was a hoot, can't wait for season 2.

I was hesitant to review this as I normally avoid cartoonish movies and series, but looked to be a creative vehicle?
Ugh! Lots of homosexual stuff, both overt and subtle. Lots of spousal cheating, et cetera; serious pro-amorality message - - really creeped me out - - and I'm no prude!
Just as in Seattle with the faux push in education - - while simultaneously subsidizing drug dealing [free needle exchanges, push for safe injection sites, heavily falsified police/public safety statistics claiming falling crime, when the opposite is occurring] which fries the brain - - too many dangerous brain-fried zombies walking the streets - - dangerous both to the public and themselves!
With our phony-crat Gov. Inslee, who strongly promotes the Koch brothers agenda [corporate giveaways, charter schools {while lowering standards for public school teachers}, toll roads, et cetera]; encouraging global foreign investment in our housing/condo market to pump up the prices for the super-rich, screwing the local majority. Former Gov. Gary Locke, involved in the same Asian multinational as Neal Bush - - and it is involved in Northwest elections!
I strongly believe that the last real president, last real Democrat in office, was John F. Kennedy - - which was why they removed him on Elm Street in Dallas! The elites who took him out [along with MLK and RFK] supported Nixon/Kissinger, Jimmy Carter, Reagan, the Bushes, the Clintons, et cetera.
Closest person to an FDR Democrat is Social Democrat Bernie Sanders.
Now Bloomberg - - who was recently quite vocal in his support for the Chinese Communist Party and Xi Jinping during his interview with PBS News Hour's Margaret Hoover - - defines himself as a "capitalist" - - so if you're a Benedict Arnold-type, you are an anti-democratic Bloomberg capitalist!
Stop and frisk, anti-union, anti-Occupy Movement, anti-real education [Mayor Bloomberg appointed Jack Welch to be his "education czar"] and pro-communist - - I definitely support Bernie over commie dude, Michael Bloomberg.
If non-party/RANKED voting was the norm [if only!!!] I'd vote #1: Andrew Yang, #2, Tulsi Gabbard, and #3 Bernie Sanders - - but right this moment of reality - - I'M FOR BERNIE!!!!!

I forgot when and why I put this one on hold. Glad I did though. I'm a long time fan of Brendan Fraser and I was amped to see him in this. He did a great job of putting emotion into his mostly voice acting role, while playing his typical character of lovable dysfunctional powerhouse.

There are many trippy psychological narratives going on in this. Multiple layers of reality just danced around on for fun. It's good times. The whole group is such a beautiful mess.

And like Shellie1 said, yeah, it's kind of woke in the sense that there are homosexual relationships present. Also, there's a gender queer sentient street named Danny.... God bless that street named Danny. Best scene! Oh my god. When you see it, it's hilarious. They all... I won't spoil it.

But yeah, if you get a chance, this show is messed up, but very entertaining. Some great and fun moments. A nice balance of tragedy and comedy.

When I Started To Watch It Last Night I Was Amazed How This Show Was Gonna Be So Dang Good & I Love All Of The Characters In This Show But I AM Not Surprised Its Not Written By Gerard Way And it makes me pretty upset but anyway love the show and its pretty amazing great dang actors and everything.

I asked the library to order this, as I love DC shows. This show would get a higher rating if they did not use F*@K as a verb, noun, adjective, and perhaps pronoun constantly. This show has some good actors, filmed well, but they focus on the characters a lot, character driven with some action. The narrator even mentions this on a later episode. It's extremely woke. I just want a good story. It's dark, and adult, which is the trend right now. I will watch the second season to see if they smooth out.
