These Eddie Flynn novels make for fun vacation reading. Suspend your disbelief and enjoy what feels like a mashup of a legal thriller and Die Hard.

I plan on reading more books by this author as this novel was a great read! It's a page turner right to the end of the novel. The main continuing character is Eddie Flynn, a NYC defense lawyer who defends innocent suspects who have been declared guilty by the police. The novel is written by an Irish lawyer who gives the reader his take on trials, lawyers, prosecutors, witnesses, judges, juries which I found to be insightful. The plot, too, is a good one with the good guys and bad guys conning each other so it is difficult to figure out who is responsible for the crime. The plot revolves around money laundering. The novel is an excellent thriller, courtroom drama, and murder mystery. It, like the first Eddie Flynn novel, has won awards.
