"In this sequel to the New York Times bestseller 99 Days, perfect for fans of Jenny Han and Morgan Matson, Molly Barlow finds herself in Europe on her summer vacation, desperately trying to forget everything that happened a year ago. But over the course of nine days and nine nights, her whole life will be turned upside down once more . . . Molly Barlow isn't that girl anymore. A business major at her college in Boston, she's reinvented herself after everything that went down a year ago. After all the people she hurt and the family she tore apart. Slowly, life is getting back to normal. Molly has just said I love you to her new boyfriend, Ian, and they are off on a romantic European vacation together, starting with scenic London. But there on a tube platform, the past catches up to her in the form of Gabe, her ex, traveling on his own parallel vacation with new girlfriend Sadie. After comparing itineraries, Ian ends up extending an invite for Gabe and Sadie to join them on the next leg of their trip, to Ireland. And Molly and Gabe can't bring themselves to tell the truth about who they once were to each other to their new significant others. Now Molly has to spend 9 days and 9 nights with the boy she once loved, the boy whose heart she shredded, without Ian knowing. Will she make it through as new and improved Molly, or will everything that happened between her and Gabe come rushing back?"--Provided by publisher.

I had just read 99 Days in April when I saw that this "sequel" was releasing soon. I couldn't wait to read this one due to the atypical YA romance conclusion of the the first book. I enjoyed 99 Days and unlike some readers who were up in arms about certain aspects of that story, I liked the not-so-cookie-cutter formula. I could also appreciate the messier conclusion versus everything being tied up in a neat little bow. At the same time, there were characters that I wanted to see a happier ending for since I loved them so much. I'm happy to report that this author gave me what I wanted. Again, not in the typical fashion, but uniquely hers.

The two things I appreciated the most from this story were the character growth of Molly and her determination not to make the same mistakes. She held true to her higher standards when it came to her relationships. Still, not without internal struggles, but quite the about face from the first book. Overall, I found the story compulsively readable and was rewarded with the sweetest and swooniest ending.

I read 99 days and loved that book. I was disappointed that she didn't end up with either of the brothers. I was so excited when I heard she was writing a second book. I thought this book was really good and tied up a lot of loose ends to the first one. It includes most of the same characters with some new ones. If you haven't read the first one, you could probably read this one without. It explains a lot of what happened in the first one. I read this book in a day, it was a super easy read and I loved how it ended.
