This is an organized but choppy book: the chapters on sonnets, odes, elegies are the best, followed by the first four chapters. Most chapters have reading lists of poems or mention collections. Its certainly useful, clearly written (if a bit terse), and doesn't talk of the forms as if they were exalted and hopeless for almost everyone.
