Quick read perfect for light hearted romance readers. Mild profanity.
This is a hugely entertaining and fun read. The protagonist, Desi, decides to snag a boyfriend by following the tropes of romantic K-Dramas to the letter. Of course silliness and mayhem ensue, but there’s also a heart-warming sea change in which Desi learns to let go and grow. Loved this book— the author, Maureen Goo, is definitely a cut above rank and file teen romance writers. Can’t wait for her next novel!
I only been reading this book for 72 hours and it has git me on it's hold. I'm in LOVE with this book. Mrs. Goo should make a movie about this book. That's how good this book is. I'm only 11 and it got me hook. So it can hook you 14-- `19 year old's.
Super fluffy and cute! I highly recommend reading.
It is absolutely awesome! Of course, there was so much happening that you would want to know what would happen, for I read it in two sittings. I totally recommend this book if you like romance and a page turner.
This book was really cute! I would recommend it for a quick summer read. It's a true love story, not uncomfortably steamy. I loved all the kdrama references. Con: there are a few curse words and some inappropriate mentions.
Very good book, it was funny, sad, and makes you want to read non stop I finished the book in one day
Very multicultural as many cultures were represented in this marvelously sweet little piece. However, I did not particularly enjoy the writing style, though who couldn't love a bit of romcom every now and then ;) ?
Somewhat of a fluffy YA romance, but with subtle emotional depth dealing with death of a parent and child/parent relationships. There were a number of true LOL moments and fun banter that kept me turning pages. I thought about throwing in the towel after the first few chapters, but was happy I didn't and ended up enjoying the lighter romantic story line.
A funny story about a teenager unlucky in love who decides to turn her fate around using a formula she comes up with by watching k-dramas.
