Wow, great scholarship on the professor's part [although, being at Syracuse, one imagines it's either spending time on great research or searching for a decent chili dog?] - - even covers the rather recondite first US Treasury agent, B.G. Jayne [epitomizes the federal government throughout history, first is a G-man, interdicting the smugglers, then works for Boss Tweed, doing you can guess what. . .]. Prof. Cohen really covers, most eloquently, some little known aspects of American history, and American historical figures.
A niche period in US history nicely covered.
