A drama about sex trafficking in Bosnia. For me it was not clear who was making money off of the trafficking and who was using service of the trafficked. The makers of the film admitted that they tamped down the depiction of the cruelty and the corruption fearing that the financing of the film would be eliminated. Unfortunately, I would not be able to discuss who exactly covered up these crimes. I suspect the actors such as Vanessa Redgrave, Benedict Cumberbatch, etc. agreed to be in this film because of their beliefs in Justice.

This factual based drama was well directed (Larysa Kondracki) and acted by Rachel Weisz and other fine supporting actors/actresses.
The bonus feature is well worth the viewing time, as it talks to the real Whistleblower, Kathryn Bolkovac, as well as the director and Rachel Weisz.
Hard to see these action going on, even among the people that are supposed to uphold justice and create a balanced system in a war torn after math of depleted souls and country.

Directed by Larysa Kondracki in 2010, this Canadian-German-American docudrama delves into the human trafficking that took place in Bosnia during the late 1990s.
The film appears to work like a real whistleblower.
It is a pretty good flick.

Excellent movie dealing with deadly sex trafficking of young girls in Bosnia, dealing with corruption in the high rank of polices and other government agencies, greed, portraying the true reality of depravity of man and human beings involved with the abuses of young girls , phenomena that is now all over different countries in the wold. It is a movie that you must see, for sure. The performance, the determination, the character of Rachel Weisz is remarquable in this movie.

What is wrong with us as humans that sex trafficking even exists? Have we lost our way this badly? YES

This movie puts a visual like no other to the corruption, cover-ups, money, and sickness that is prevalent around us. While this movie is based on Bosnia, it is happening on American soil, too.

Through education like this will be the only way we lead ourselves out of this sickening abyss that is destroying massive numbers of lives and putting parents on constant guard for fear of having their children abducted and sold into the sex trade.

Among the sadness of the contents of the movie is the clear danger the whistleblower in any situation can face. It's very ugly! Corruption does not want to be stopped at any level.

Watch this movie for education only because there is no enjoyment to be found.

Heartbreaking and frustrating movie to watch. If you're looking for a happy ending then don't watch this movie.

I had to get this from KCL since the copies from SPL are missing. Didn't know how to rate this really. Stated at the beginning the storyline is based on factual events. I found it so disturbing that supposed 'peacekeepers' are involved in these activities, yet I do not doubt it at all. What we do to one another is inhumane & often in the disagreements of religion.
