A fabulous story of the most powerful woman in the Mughal Empire. This story took me by surprise - essentially a written docudrama that was very carefully and accurately researched and is clearly historically accurate, but that reads as an exciting fairy tale with adventure, love, betrayal, ambition, treachery and the majesty of the Mughal Court. One of my all-time favorite books.
