This is an entertaining police procedural with just enough about the protagonist's personal life to make it interesting. Excellent plot and well drawn characters--what more could one ask of any novel?

I was a big fan Ian Rankin and his Detective Rebus series but now that I've stumbled upon Billingham 's latest, FROM THE DEAD as well as BLOODLINE, I'm hooked! Can't wait to start from the beginning with SLEEPY HEAD. Excellent writer, terrific storyteller.
