Just watched this movie for the very first time after a friend of mime told me about the concept of "pay it forward" (which I have never heard of nor experienced). She recommended this movie to me as well. Such a beautiful story with heartbreaking ending.
Loved the acting, disliked the ending.
So now it will be me, who recommends this movie. And I will start practicing "pay it forward" phenomenon as well.
I had to google the "pay it forward movement" and found that at one drive thru customers started a spontaneous chain of payments of the bills for each other. This amazingly spontaneous "pay it forward movement" lasted almost the entire day! Loved it.

This movie is a very heart warming movie. It teaches so much in this little script. It is definitely in the top 10 to watch.

Trevor McKinney is a young boy whose social studies teacher gives his class an assignment that ends up being huge for Trevor. What Trevor decides to do is something that will change people’s lives, and make the world a better place – pay it forward. Basically if he does something good for someone, they have pay it forward by doing good for someone else. His social studies teacher also becomes closer to him than one might have initially expected. The boy’s project is very successful, but the movie doesn’t have the happiest ending. I think a good word to describe it is “bittersweet”.

I cried like a baby at the end. We watched this as a family together after the 2016 election...this is what our world needs more of.

The morals and the ideas were good, but there were a lot of bad things in it. The sexual content, the language are just some of the things. Not highly recommended.

Trevor McKenney: I think some people are too scared, or something. I guess it's hard for people who are so used to things the way they are - even if they're bad - to change. 'Cause they kind of give up. And when they do, everybody kind of loses.
