OK Bond movie, but I hadn't realized it was sort of a prequel.

I like Daniel Craig so I checked this out. Turns out I had already seen but thoroughly enjoyed again.

An excellent James Bond movie. Daniel Craig was a good choice as Bond.

The best James Bond movie ever. Watch this one before the last one, No time to die. These 2 Bond movies are the best. Daniel Craig nails them both, great stories, Daniel is the best Bond.

The cat and mouse chasing sequence appears extremely fascinating and thrilling, but the poker game seems totally foolish. In any case, I enjoyed this entertaining spy thriller to the last card.

Great movie! Daniel Craig may be my favourite Bond yet! Sorry, Sean. :)

A very good movie, one of the top 5 Bonds. Lots of good comments left for this film so I will keep it short. Yes, watch this movie you will like it unless you only like Chick Flicks movies.

007 is back like it's never been before... in a film noir skin. "The Spy That Came in From the Cold" is, to date, probably my favorite spy film precisely because the stylistic elements we have come to associate with spy films are so…

The best Fleming source material. The best male-sung title song (sorry, Jones...prize goes to Chris Cornell). The best body art (pretty f^%$kin' morbid if you ask me, though). And the blood tears. Wow. The blood tears.

Gave me some faith in the Bond franchise. Closest in tone and content to the books. Daniel Craig gives a great action film performance, portraying Bond as the cold killer he was in the books.

Great reboot of the franchise with Daniel Craig.

One of the better Bond films and the first time this one was made by the regular Bond filmmakers (the version starring David Niven and Peter Sellers was a spoof-ish drama by other filmmakers due to rights issues). Dark, gritty, and nasty.…

A Very Different Bond "Utter one more syllable and I'll have you killed!"- M. to James Bond in CASINO ROYALE. But this James Bond will not be dispatched easily. This Bond is virtually impervious to pain. He is incredibly…

The expected flash bang special effects are out in full force with an opening parkour chase through a construction zone that defies gravity to an airport runway rampage that defies belief to a novel take on "Titanic" played out on the…

Quite the Bond debut for the steely-eyed Daniel Craig, beginning with a power-packed intro chasing a bad guy (literally) on the run who just-so-happened to be amazingly proficient in parkour, scaling ANY obstacle in his path. 007's…

If you're looking for a James Bond film that more or less matches the plot and feel of the original Ian Fleming 1950's spy novella, this is a good choice. The only significant difference is the setting, changed from 1950's France to…

(This review is about the 2007 screen rendition of Ian Fleming's Casino Royale, not the book; I read all "James Bond" books, by the way.) Although I love Sean Connery (especially because he looks so much like my older brother), Craig is…

[Update: as usual, commenter EuSei is gravely mistaken: Fleming combined his hedonism with the abilities of Patrick Dal-Zell, half-Swiss and half-Scottish Royal Marine commando, who spoke many languages and was a military professional…

Interesting choice to "re-start" the franchise with this film. Good action. A number of the aspects of the formula, such as underwater fights for no particular reason, have been dropped.

I can appreciate the franchise owners' logic: we need something new and we had an especially pretty 007 in Pierce Brossman, so let's dazzle 'em with a real man's man. Daniel Craig sure looks the part. Well enough, but 007's antics would…

This one was far better than Skyfall in my opinion. The tension between Mads and Daniel was incredible and I found myself rooting for both teams. Worth a watch.

This is a 2006 James Bond film, in which Daniel Craig stars for the first time as MI6 agent James Bond. It marks the third screen adaptation of Ian Fleming's 1953 novel of the same name. Casino Royale is set at the beginning of Bond's…

Not as good as the other Bond movies, kind of long and slow. Not too much action.

Chris Cornell (Soundgarden) opens the gritty theme to this installment of 007. There's a bit of everything: chase, violence, confusion, comic relief, ridiculous hyperbole, female enchantment, & a hook to the next film. I could have done…
