Description

How do you promote your book? Preparation is key. So, how do you prepare for the promotion of your book? It is never too early, and the more time you have, the more tactics you can execute to promote not just your book, but you. During Sarah’s talk you will learn:

  • What publicity is and what an experienced publicist does
  • How using marketing with publicity reinforces your promotion
  • How you can promote your book on your own
  • When it is necessary to hire a publicist
  • Objectives, strategies and tactics for the author

All of this will be tailored to you, the author.

Sarah Sherwood is a publicist with 35 years of experience, including international PR firms, hospitals, academic scientists, political campaigns, and of course, books and publications of all kinds.

California Writers Club-San Francisco Peninsula Branch members give presentations on the third Thursday of the month for anyone interested in writing. Writers Helping Writers resume for their third year giving excellent advice and pointers on writing, publishing marketing and more.
