Artivism for Teens: Intro to Sewing

4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Mitchell Park Library

Description

Join us to learn the basics of machine sewing and create a small project! Learning to sew can help you create meaningful forms of self-expression like art, clothes, and more!

Are you interested in art and making a difference in your community while earning volunteer hours?

Join us every last Tuesday of the month for a drop-in program to create art and work on projects to better the library and your community!

Create informational resources about your community, build creative skills such as artmaking, writing, sewing, screenprinting, crocheting, etc. to inspire others, share your voice, and earn service hours!

Don't know what to make? Join us and get ideas!

Please email Elise at elise.bernal@cityofpaloalto.org if you're a teen interested in leading a skill building workshop.

This program was supported in part by the U.S. Institute of Museum and Library Services under the provisions of the Library Services and Technology Act, administered in California by the State Librarian (Grant #: 40-9421).
