Events › Family Craft: DIY Maracas

We're celebrating Latinx & Hispanic Heritage Month! Join us for a special family craft where your can make your own set of maracas, then stay for a short dance party and get those maracas shakin'! You can also bring them to storytimes and use them for our shaker songs. 

A maraca is a hollow percussion instrument filled with dried beans or similar objects and played, usually in pairs, by being shaken. It appears in many genres of Caribbean and Latin music. 

Ages 3-11. Registration Required.

Note: Please only register the amount of individuals who will be making the maracas.
