Come and listen to the beat of the Taiko drums under the trees! Taiko drums have a long history in Japan, providing rhythm for sacred rituals, festivals and celebrations. Bring the whole family and experience Taiko with us. This event takes place in The Bowl at Mitchell Park. 

San Mateo Buddhist Temple Taiko was founded in 1992. The group's purpose is to introduce and teach the history and technique of Japanese Taiko drumming and provide entertainment for temple and other community functions. The group is currently under the direction of Kristy Oshiro.
