"Colors of India" with Dholrhythms Dance Company

We are kicking off our Summer Reading Program with "Colors of India" presented by Dholrhythms Dance Company! There will be vibrant and colorful dance performances highlighting rhythms of Punjab, India followed by a fun, interactive Bhangra dance lesson. A treat for the eyes and ears and one of a kind experience that will get your shoulders bouncing while smiling ear to ear. Watch, Learn, Participate, and Enjoy! Family friendly fun for all ages! This event will take place in the lawn area in front of Rinconada Library. 


Based in the San Francisco Bay Area, Dholrhythms Dance Company is an organization dedicated to promoting the cultural arts of Punjab, India through dance classes, workshops, performances, and events. Since its inception, Dholrhythms has grown into a boundless and unique platform that brings together people from all walks of life to enjoy dance in a non-competitive and positive environment. A strong belief in empowering and celebrating women highlights this diverse, all women dance company led by founder Vicki Virk who was born and raised in Punjab, India. Dholrhythms highlights the ancestral and ethnic roots of the Punjabi folk dances while pushing boundaries with contemporary influences. They have been a part of the Bay Area performing arts for almost 19 years and always love sharing their joyful energy at community and outreach events.
